Dear parents,
I would like to use this school newsletter to inform you about the latest developments at our school.
Review and news
The lantern festival for our 1st and 2nd classes took place yesterday. The children transformed our school environment into a shining sea of lanterns. I was particularly pleased to see the many lovingly designed lanterns.
Mr. Nagel joined our team at the beginning of November. As the new reference teacher, he accompanies Mrs. Bussemeier’s Year 5 pupils.
We are very pleased that, since the beginning of the school year, we have been educating a first-year student who is dependent on a wheelchair. Inclusion has been a matter of course for us for many years – diversity, participation and equal opportunities are important values at our school. The child has settled in well in his class, plays with his classmates and feels at home in the class community.
Your support is important
We need your help to create a pleasant school environment:
Drinks:
Please only give your child water to bring to school. Coke, Fanta and juices are not allowed as they stain our carpets. There is a water dispenser in the large canteen where children can fill up their water bottles.
Snacks during breaks:
Please make sure that your child does not bring any sunflower seeds or potato chips. Chewing gum is also not allowed. These foods make our corridors and stairwells very dirty. Chewing gum on floors and carpets is almost impossible to remove.
Footballs:
Please do not give your child their own footballs. Toys can be borrowed during the breaks. Balls brought along are often used in the school building and lead to broken windows and marks on the walls.
Drop-off and pick-up times:
Mornings: Please say goodbye to your child at the school entrance. From there, the pupils go to their classes independently. In this way, we reduce the number of people from outside the school building.
Pick-up time: Your child will be dismissed at 2:30 pm or 4:00 pm in the vestibule. Please adhere to these times. It is not possible to pick up from Flex modules that are in progress.

Save the Date: Our Winter Festival will take place on February 19, 2026! The planning group will inform you of further details in good time.
Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!
Yours sincerely
