Dear parents,
Enrolling your child in school is the first step on a new and exciting journey.
The following original documents are required for school registration:
- Birth certificate and other personal documents of the child
- Identity card and registration certificate of the legal guardian(s)
- Your child’s vaccination record
- Registration form
- When moving in: Registration certificate or 1st page of the tenancy agreement
- Personal presentation on site

If you wish to enrol your child early or defer them, please refer to the checklists and forms in the “Documents and links” section.
School medical examination
After registration at elementary school, the child and youth health service will check whether your child is well prepared for school. The minimum age for this examination is 5 years.
Please take the following documents with you to the examination:
- Yellow medical check-up booklet
- Immunization card of the child
- If applicable, important medical findings and glasses/hearing aids
- Completed parent questionnaire
- Registration at an elementary school – school medical examination (Form 109)
