Dear parents,
We always try to plan school events in such a way that as many families as possible have the opportunity to attend.
Our winter festival was originally planned for 19 January. In hindsight, however, we realized that Ramadan (the fasting period) begins during this period. As food and drinks are traditionally offered at our festival in addition to many activities for the children, we realized that this is a special situation for some of our parents. Many families celebrate this time intensively and understandably have less interest or are unable to take part in a festival with food.
We discussed this realization at length within the college. Simply moving it forward would have led to overlaps with other school events, including carnival. We therefore decided together to take a new approach:
The planned winter festival now becomes a spring festival.

We are aware that changes to dates always mean changes to your plans. We would like to apologize for this. At the same time, it was important to us to take into account the different needs of our school community and to enable as many families as possible to attend.
