Class 1c spontaneously searched for animal tracks in the snow in the castle park today. With great curiosity and attention, the children in Year 1 discovered various footprints and looked at them very closely. They knelt in the snow, pointed out special features and thought together about which animals the tracks could have come from. They shared their observations and got talking to each other. Finally, they looked at the tracks again together and talked about which animals are also out and about in the castle park in winter and how they can be recognized by their tracks.
As the first day of school in the new year after the vacations, this joint excursion was a particularly nice start. By discovering, observing and reflecting together, the children were able to experience nature directly and with all their senses.
