Our lantern festival for the 1st and 2nd classes

On Thursday, November 13, the 1st and 2nd grade students – equipped with brightly colored lanterns – set off on their traditional lantern parade through the neighborhood.

Accompanied by parents, teachers and educators, the children marched through the neighborhood singing. Classics such as “Laterne, Laterne” or “Ich geh mit meiner Laterne” echoed through the streets and created a cheerful, autumnal atmosphere. The lanterns, lovingly crafted in class, were particularly eye-catching.

Back in the schoolyard, the cozy conclusion of the evening awaited: a large buffet. There was a colorful selection of delicious food, warm drinks – and of course fragrant grilled sausages, which were particularly popular. The Lantern Festival slowly drew to a close with good conversation, happy children’s laughter and a great sense of community.

A big thank you to all the helpers who made this atmospheric evening possible! We are already looking forward to the next Festival of Lights.
