Dear parents,
Children learn better when parents show an interest in school. If you take an interest in everyday school life, encourage your child and get involved, you will support your child’s education and social skills at school.
There are various ways in which you can get involved. You can show your practical support by helping with school festivals and projects, getting involved as a parent representative or by reading aloud together at home.
Regular discussions about everyday school life and joint excursions to encourage curiosity help with learning support. At home, you can provide support by providing a quiet place to study and fixed times for homework. It is particularly important to encourage your child to find solutions independently.
Depending on your interests and skills, you can get involved in various areas. Creative parents are happy to support craft, art or music projects, while parents with organizational skills can help with parties, excursions or planning. Actively helping to shape the school environment is also an important form of participation.
The Förderverein Mierie e.V. is a central component of our school community and supports the school through a variety of projects. These include the organization of the school enrolment ceremony and various school festivals, the further development of the school garden and the purchase of musical instruments. The association also finances equipment for school projects, enables excursions and special activities and supports theater performances and cultural events. Become a member of the Friends’ Association and help us to realize these important projects!
To get involved digitally, visit the Mierendorff Primary School website at www.mierendorff-grundschule.de or use the online parent community at community.mierendorff.schule to network and exchange ideas with other parents. Your participation supports your child and strengthens the school community. Every contribution is welcome, regardless of the amount of time involved.
Together we are strong – let’s tackle it!
